What to expect
If you have never been to one.
It is smaller than you think. Most experiences are
twenty to thirty people. You will speak properly with several of them,
not briefly with all of them.
There is a structure, and it is light. Enough to make
sure the quiet people are heard and the confident ones do not take the
room. Not so much that it stops feeling like a conversation.
Nobody pitches. If you came to sell, you will have a
frustrating evening. If you came to think out loud with people who
understand the problem, you will not.
You will be asked what you need. Most founders find
this the hardest question of the night, and the one that changes what
happens afterwards.
